United Staffing Solutions is representing a hardware company in Brooklyn, NY who is looking for an experience warehouse worker for a supervisory role. This is a small warehouse, where you would be overseeing 2-3 employees. This would be a combination of supervisory responsibilities and normal warehouse duties.

Pay: $20-22/hr

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, Fri 9am-1pm

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving operations.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and optimize storage solutions.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage team performance through effective training, coaching, and development of warehouse staff.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and mechanical knowledge is applied.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to streamline materials handling and shipping processes.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks as needed while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using AS400 or similar systems.

• Proven experience in warehouse management, including supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with e-commerce operations and 3PL (third-party logistics) environments is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of material handling equipment. (Pallet Jacks)
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
