Job Description
TEACHER ASSISTANT
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry, is looking for Teacher Assistants in White Plains, NY.
Salary - $18-$20/hr
Responsibilities for the Teacher Assistant:
- Monitor students entering and leaving
- Responsible for the student attendance report
- Implement daily instruction, activities, and behavior strategies
- Support students in their school activities
- Teach skills that are targeted goals for each student with support from the Head/Lead teacher
Job Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or some college credits required
- Must have NYS Teaching Assistant Certificate or willing to obtain it
- Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working with special needs children in a special education setting
- Experience with children with developmental disabilities and other related disorders preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
