SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (SLP) – CF - PART-TIME

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry is representing a well-established, private, special education school, who is seeking a NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). They pride themselves on helping students from Kindergarten – 12th grade to achieve success by supporting each child’s needs.

This is a temporary assignment.

Salary - $75-$80 per hour, depending on experience.

Days/Hours: M-F, from 8am-2:15pm (30 hour work week).

Responsibilities for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

• Help students develop their communication skills
• Report student attendance
• Work with teachers and parents
• Maintain and analyze student records such as IEPs
• Assist with instruction, tutoring, and supervision of students individually or in a small group
• Implement a plan to evaluate the speech and language therapy program and interpret speech evaluations
• Support the Principal with resolving students’ needs
• Create approaches that enable students to communicate their needs, wants, and academics

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Must have a valid NYS Speech and Language Therapist Certification
• Clinical Fellows are accepted
• Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working with special needs children in a special education setting
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities and ability to communicate and relate to their challenges
• Ability to work with school staff, administration and other related service providers
• Ability to provide 3 references from former employers, teachers or professional sources
