SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER – TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry, is assisting a well-established, psychiatric center that focuses on helping children and young adults ages 5-21 years old with mental health issues. We are seeking experienced Teachers to educate and support students to accomplish their personal goals.

This is a temporary assignment.

Salary: $29-$31 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (40 hour work week) Flexibility can be considered.

Responsibilities for Special Education Teacher:

  • Grade assignments and tests for students
  • Manage classroom behaviors
  • Offer feedback and support to students
  • Provide extra help individually to students
  • Create lesson plans
  • Adapt teaching methods in order to accommodate the various learning needs of students

Job Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Must have NYS teaching certification
  • Must have experience working with special needs students
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ teaching experience in similar environment
  • Ability to work with parents, teachers, and faculty
