Special Education Teacher – Academic Support Team - High School - TEMP through April

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in staffing, is representing a Charter School specializing in Computer Science in their search for a experienced Special Education Teachers to provide critical support to 9-12th grade students with disabilities by assisting with IEP writing, leading IEP meetings, and delivering specially designed instruction.

This is a temporary assignment from now through April. There may be a possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, approximately 25-30 hours per week (holiday weeks maybe less) during school and meeting hours.

Pay rate: $40-50/hr depending on experience.

Location: conveniently in the Bronx near the 6-train.

Responsibilities for the Special Education Teacher:

• Assisting in writing and reviewing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Leading and participating in IEP meetings, collaborating with families, CSE and staff
• Providing small group instruction and/or direct support through SETSS
• Offering testing accommodations and modifications as needed for students
• Supporting students in achieving their academic goals in a supportive, inclusive environment

• Valid NYS certification in Special Education/Students with disabilities
• Experience with IEP development and leading meetings
• Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12) in a special education setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
