Job Description
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry is representing a well-established, successful Senior Living community in Peabody, MA. They are seeking a Sous Chef to help run the operation of their kitchen, restaurant, café, and catering hall.
Pay: $32-35/hr depending on experience
Core Days/Hours: Shifts are either 10:45am-7:15pm and 12:00pm-8:30pm. Weekends are required, will have 2 days off during the week.
Responsibilities for the Sous Chef:
- Work directly with Head Chef and fill in during Head Chef ‘s absence
- Menu planning
- Ensure that food is high quality
- Manage supplies and keep track of inventory
- Make sure kitchen is in good condition
- Keeps stations clean
Job Requirements
- Culinary degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a corporate kitchen
- Knowledge and implementation of kitchen safety standards
- Ability to successfully complete culinary practicum exam
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions & food allergies
