Senior Moving Industry Estimator - Commercial & Residential Moving and Storage
Location: Stratford, CT – Long Beach area
Compensation: $80,000 base salary + uncapped commission
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional flexibility)

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry, is representing a well-established and reputable moving and storage company seeking an experienced Senior Moving Industry Estimator. This role is critical to the success of their operations, requiring a financially motivated professional who excels at building client relationships, closing sales, and providing accurate estimates for both commercial and residential projects. This is a direct hire, permanent position beginning ASAP.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Moving Industry Estimator:
- Conducting on-site and virtual moving estimates for residential and commercial clients
- Evaluating property details, inventory, and logistical needs to create accurate quotes
- Coordinating scheduling, follow-ups, and timely client communication
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive repeat and referral business
- Achieving and maintaining a 60%+ conversion rate from estimates to booked jobs
- Collaborating with dispatch, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution
- Staying current with industry pricing models, competitor trends, and regulations
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a moving estimator in the moving & storage industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding conversion and sales goals
- In-depth knowledge of moving operations, pricing structures, and industry standards
- Proficiency with digital estimating tools and CRM software
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Valid CT driver’s license and clean driving record required (company vehicle provided)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
