United Staffing Solutions is representing a well-established local bank in Union City, NJ who is looking for a Senior Banker to join their team.

As a Senior Banker, you'll play a pivotal role in providing exemplary customer service, driving sales, and fostering a positive team environment. Your expertise in retail banking, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of our branch and the bank as a whole.

Impact: The Senior Banker is instrumental in maintaining a high level of knowledge about all bank products and services while delivering top-tier customer experiences. Your leadership will be evident in coaching and supporting the development of other team members, including Ponce Bankers, Customer Sales Representatives, and Tellers.

MUST BE BILINGUAL SPANISH/ENGLISH SPEAKING

Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, flexibility as needed.

Pay: $40,000-$50,000/year DOE

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with customers proactively, providing personalized service at every touchpoint.
  2. Identify customer needs and offer tailored solutions, promoting appropriate bank products.
  3. Build and nurture relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver clear solutions.
  4. Serve as a liaison between customers and other bank departments, ensuring satisfaction and resolution of inquiries.
  5. Assist customers with specialized services and complex transactions, resolving issues promptly.
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services.
  7. Open new accounts and onboard customers, adhering to policy and regulatory requirements.
  8. Process various monetary transactions using traditional and alternative channels.
  9. Coordinate customer calls and meetings to provide ongoing support and value-added services.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to cultivate partnerships and generate referrals.
  11. Conduct sales activities within the community to drive business to the branch.
  12. Assist the Branch Operations Manager with daily tasks and quality control.
  13. Oversee branch cash management activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  14. Provide leadership, training, and guidance to Bank Tellers, fostering staff development.
  15. Complete all assigned training and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  1. Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide cross-functional support to other areas of the bank as needed.
  3. Perform tasks supportive of essential job functions as required.

Skills:

  • Proficient in English and Spanish communication
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of retail banking procedures and regulations
  • Familiarity with bank products and services
  • Sales coaching expertise
  • Moderate PC skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with sales aptitude
  • Comfortable with technology, including smartphones and online banking

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel to multiple branch locations if necessary
  • Typical office environment with occasional lifting and standing
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends

Requirements:

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent with a focus on business curriculum.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' related experience required.
