United Staffing Solutions is representing a well-established local bank in Union City, NJ who is looking for a Senior Banker to join their team.
As a Senior Banker, you'll play a pivotal role in providing exemplary customer service, driving sales, and fostering a positive team environment. Your expertise in retail banking, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of our branch and the bank as a whole.
Impact: The Senior Banker is instrumental in maintaining a high level of knowledge about all bank products and services while delivering top-tier customer experiences. Your leadership will be evident in coaching and supporting the development of other team members, including Ponce Bankers, Customer Sales Representatives, and Tellers.
MUST BE BILINGUAL SPANISH/ENGLISH SPEAKING
Schedule: Full Time, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, flexibility as needed.
Pay: $40,000-$50,000/year DOE
- Engage with customers proactively, providing personalized service at every touchpoint.
- Identify customer needs and offer tailored solutions, promoting appropriate bank products.
- Build and nurture relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver clear solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and other bank departments, ensuring satisfaction and resolution of inquiries.
- Assist customers with specialized services and complex transactions, resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all bank products and services.
- Open new accounts and onboard customers, adhering to policy and regulatory requirements.
- Process various monetary transactions using traditional and alternative channels.
- Coordinate customer calls and meetings to provide ongoing support and value-added services.
- Collaborate with other departments to cultivate partnerships and generate referrals.
- Conduct sales activities within the community to drive business to the branch.
- Assist the Branch Operations Manager with daily tasks and quality control.
- Oversee branch cash management activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to Bank Tellers, fostering staff development.
- Complete all assigned training and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide cross-functional support to other areas of the bank as needed.
- Perform tasks supportive of essential job functions as required.
- Proficient in English and Spanish communication
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of retail banking procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with bank products and services

- Moderate PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated with sales aptitude
- Comfortable with technology, including smartphones and online banking
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel to multiple branch locations if necessary
- Typical office environment with occasional lifting and standing
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent with a focus on business curriculum.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' related experience required.
