Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: New York, NY 10022
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $77/hour
Assignment: September 2026 – Early November 2026
Start Date: Staff Orientation Begins September 2, 2026 (Students Return September 4, 2026)
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the team at a special education school in Manhattan for the Fall session. This is a temporary assignment supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs in a collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and school staff
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families as needed
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills
Job Requirements
- Active New York State Occupational Therapist license
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with students with special needs is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational setting
