Job Description
Collection Supervisor – Specimen Collector – Telehealth Lab Representative
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in staffing, is representing a Telehealth medical testing lab seeking a Collection Supervisor to work in nursing homes and assisted living facilities and deliver samples to the lab. This is a long term temporary assignment starting on 3/13.
Pay: $20/hr
The schedule is Wednesdays 10am-2pm and some Thursdays 10am-2pm. The position would require that you drive to at least 1, but possibly more nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Trenton/Philadelphia/Medford area each day to collect Covid/Flu nasal swabs and occasional UTI urine samples. At the end of the day, you would drop the samples off at a the lab.
Responsibilities for the Collection Supervisor:
- Setting up and breaking down the collection area at various nursing homes and assisted living facilities
- Verifying Insurance: Check patient insurance eligibility upon arrival and ensure all documentation is accurate.
- Coordinating Telehealth: Set up and coordinate Telehealth appointments between patients and physicians on-site.
- Assisting with Swab Collection: Collect nasal swabs when needed or assist trained personnel with the process.
- Maintaining Records: Ensure all demographic, insurance, and test results are properly recorded in the system.
- Delivering samples to the lab or a nearby, centralized location for courier pickups.
Job Requirements
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19
- Must have a driver's license and car to drive to various locations
- Must be comfortable learning and supervising the sample collection process
- Experience in a healthcare setting or with sample collection is preferred.
- Some experience in swab collection is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of insurance verification processes (training will be provided)
- Comfortable using Telehealth platforms (training will be provided)
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and physicians.
