Registered Nurse Step Down Unit

Stepdown Float Pool RN
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for the Step Down unit in Nesconset, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including primary care, ambulatory surgery centers, and behavioral health environments.
Pay: $71.50/hr with weekly pay
Shift: Nights; 7 pm-7:30 am; must be available to work every other weekend
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse Step Down Unit
- Assess and monitor patients' health status by reviewing medical records and conducting physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Provide primary care services, including patient education on health management and disease prevention.
- Perform sonography and medical imaging procedures as needed to support diagnostic efforts.
- Assist in the administration of injections and other therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in travel nursing assignments as required, adapting quickly to new environments and teams.
Job Requirements
- NYS RN License
- ACLS, BLS required
- At least 2 years of nursing experience needed
- Telemetry Exam (RN.com OR Relias)
- NIHSS
- Unit/Scope specific exam (Relias OR Prophecy)
- NYC Mandated Infection Control Certified Required
- Experience in medical records management is preferred.
