Registered Nurse Accreditation Readiness Specialist

Job Description
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse Accreditation Readiness Specialist to join our healthcare team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards set by The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory standards, experience in quality management, and a commitment to maintaining a culture of continual readiness.
Pay: $45/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Evaluation: Assess organizational adherence to accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Tracer Activities: Conduct tracer activities to affirm compliance or identify areas for improvement.
- Corrective Action Planning: Develop and implement corrective action plans to address compliance deficiencies in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical leaders.
- Education & Training: Provide training and resources to staff and leadership on accreditation topics and support ongoing survey readiness.
- Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI): Monitor and analyze QAPI dashboards, and engage departments in quality improvement activities.
- HR File Management: Assist with maintaining employee HR files to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Quality Reporting: Oversee abstraction and submission of quality reporting data to support organizational survey readiness.
- Medical Staff Peer Review: Collaborate with Medical Staff leadership to support the peer review process and assist in developing compliance tools.
- EHR Documentation Review: Evaluate EHR documentation for accreditation compliance in areas such as assessments, care provided, orders, and plan of care.
- Infection Control Oversight: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Infection Control Program, including policy development, surveillance, and staff education.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must have a current and active RN license. Any USRN license accepted.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of RN accreditation experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent full-time nursing experience in Med/Surg or Ambulatory Care/Clinic settings.
- Certifications:
- AIPC Certification (Accreditation and Infection Prevention Certification).
- BLS or ACLS (Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- Knowledge of Accreditation Standards: In-depth knowledge of TJC, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively educate and collaborate with staff and leadership.
- EHR Proficiency: Experience with EHR documentation review and quality reporting.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Infection Control Experience (Preferred): Experience in infection control oversight is a plus.
- COVID Vaccination Not Required: Weekly testing is required for unvaccinated nurses.
