Job Description

This role involves working closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive nursing services in various settings, including internal medicine and home care.

Pay: $50/hr

Duties needed for the Registered Nurse:

  • Assess and monitor patient health status through physical examinations and medical history reviews.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and regulations during patient assessments.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with colleagues and documentation.
  • Provide support in home care settings as needed, ensuring a safe environment for patients.

Job Requirements

  • NYS RN License
  • Strong knowledge of medical records management and medical terminology.
  • Experience or familiarity with internal medicine practices is preferred.
  • Understanding of workers' compensation law is a plus.
  • Proficient in medication administration techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to perform discharge planning effectively to ensure smooth transitions for patients post-treatment.
  • Previous experience with home care services is advantageous but not required.
