Recreation Assistant - Dobbs Ferry

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and energetic Recreation Assistant to join our team immediately through June 21st. The schedule is Monday–Thursday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Pay: $18/hr

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing activities that promote residents’ physical, cognitive, and social well-being
• Motivate residents to participate in programs aligned with their interests
• Support the Recreation Director with program setup, implementation, and cleanup
• Organize supplies, maintain attendance records, and document participation
• Help residents to and from activities
• Assist in creating and distributing recreation calendars
• Follow emergency procedures and perform other duties as assigned

• Positive attitude and strong energy
• Prior experience as a Recreation Leader or in recreation therapy preferred
• Experience with activities in healthcare settings a plus
• Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Computer skills and comfort with technology required
