RN Educator
Job Description
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a dynamic RN Educator to lead and teach both a 40-hour Home Health Aide (HHA) course and an Advanced Care Directives (ACD) course. This role focuses on delivering impactful education, helping students develop essential skills to succeed in the field, and ensuring the highest professional standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, organized, and committed to excellence in nursing education.
Location: Manhattan & New Hyde Park
Position Type: Full-Time or Per Diem
Pay Rate: $51/hour
Benefits: Full-time and Per Diem positions available, with paid time off.
Key Responsibilities
Course Facilitation
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to ensure student engagement and learning.
- Provide practical, hands-on instruction, reinforcing key skills through demonstrations and simulations.
- Incorporate best practices and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Student Development
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress through assessments, practical tests, and class participation.
- Offer constructive feedback and additional support to help students excel.
- Address individual learning needs and provide resources to facilitate success.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure all instructional material adheres to state and federal regulations.
- Stay informed about updates in healthcare protocols, particularly for home health and advanced directives.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Administrative Functions
- Maintain accurate and organized records, including attendance and evaluations.
- Assist with program enrollment, orientation, and onboarding.
- Prepare and submit timely reports as required.
Professional Growth
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and professional training sessions to stay current with industry trends.
- Actively incorporate new knowledge into teaching methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
- Education: Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years in an acute care facility.
- Preferred: One year of home care nursing experience.
Skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting healthcare protocols and teaching materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to standardized and variable situations.
- Competence in basic math for medication calculations and other clinical applications.
