Job Description
United Staffing Solutions is representing a large, national roofing supply company in Walpole, MA who is looking for Production Associates to join their team.
The Production Associate will ensure the production of high quality commercial roofing materials through accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of manufacturing processes to include machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping, and forklift operation.
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 1st shift
Essential Duties:
- This position is Responsible for safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and forklifts, and production and/or shipment of quality products.
- Record and document all required data on the computer and/or in written form.
- Follow all safety, operational, maintenance, and housekeeping policies and procedures for the plant and your assigned department.
- Complete product testing and inspections in accordance with product and quality specifications and alert supervisor to variations in the production process at all times.
- Perform other duties related to plant operations as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing concepts and safety practices and procedures
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and a willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement environment
- Related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, especially roofing
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, kneel
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time as necessary
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to see and hear clearly, with or without the use of aids
- Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
- Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely
- Occasionally operate business machines
