Preschool Education Director
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a Preschool Education Director in Brooklyn, NY.
Pay: $70,000-$90,000/year DOE
Responsibilities of the Preschool Education Director:
- Assure that the center is in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
- Work in collaboration with the NYC Board of Education, NYC department of health, bureau of daycare and other agencies to facilitate collaborative program planning and implementing.
- Coordinate, supervise and assess the work of the staff in developing and maintaining and educational program for all children enrolled in the center.
- Implement and monitor center financial budget.
- Develop, maintain and oversee the implementation of a program which addresses the emotional, physical, intellectual, and psychosocial needs of all children enrolled in the center.
- Assure that the physical plant is well maintained.
- Monitor the child care food program.
- Oversee the activities of the evaluation component of the center.
- Keep abreast of current trends in the field of special education and early childhood education, and changing regulations.
- Appraises and recommends curricular/ instructional materials and equipment.
- Provide for opportunities for family involvement in the center.
- Participate in and attend community meetings, tasks forces, ETC.
- Oversee the development of and implementation of in-service training for staff, families and the community.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must have NYS certification in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Education(B-2),
- 2 years of Classroom Teaching experience is required.
