Physical Therapy Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedic & Sports Rehabilitation

Schedule: Monday to Friday | Flexible Hours | 20–40 hours/week

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related conditions in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Pay: $30-$32/hr DOE

Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to support the implementation of individualized treatment plans. You will assist patients of all ages throughout their rehabilitation journey, focusing on functional recovery and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist
• Assist with manual therapy techniques under supervision
• Observe, monitor, and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for home care
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Keep treatment areas clean and organized
• Collaborate with clinical staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA in New York (required)
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques
• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehab settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to professional development and excellence in patient care
