PARALEGAL– LAW FIRM

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry is representing a well-established, law firm who specializes in areas such as insurance defense, personal injury cases, and business and commercial law. The ideal candidate is a well- organized, team player and excels in a fast-paced environment. candidate must reside within 20 miles of El Segundo, CA

Salary - $30.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Days/hours: M-F, 9am-5pm. Over time as needed.

Responsibilities for the Paralegal:

• Support attorneys in trial preparation, preparing exhibits and managing logistics
• Prepare accurate digital case files and document management systems
• Compile e-file and physically file documents in State & Federal Court
• In charge of court and litigation calendars, deadlines, and filing schedules
• Organize mediations, client communications and depositions
• Put together legal documents, pleadings, discovery, motions and correspondence

• Paralegal certificate
• At least 4 years of prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
• At least 2 years working at same job
• Must be highly proficient with California civil procedure
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw
• Smokeball (practice management software) a plus not a must
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills
