Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings. As a PACU RN, you will play a critical role in monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring their comfort and safety during the recovery process. This position requires excellent clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

pay: 1800/week

Target Start Date: ASAP

Shift: NEED FLEXIBILITY- SHIFTS VARIED FROM 9AM-730PM, 10AM-830PM AND 11AM-930PM

Call Requirements 3 WEEKNIGHT AND 2 WEEKENDS IN A 4 WEEK SCHEDULE PERIOD. WEEKNIGHTS FROM 10PM-7AM AND WEEKENDS ARE 12 HOURS

Weekends: 2 WEEKENDS CALL A MONTH

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous (IV) lines.
  • Provide immediate post-operative care and support to patients recovering from surgery.
  • Assess patients for any complications or adverse reactions following anesthesia.
  • Communicate effectively with surgical teams regarding patient status and any concerns.
  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Proficiency in patient care, particularly in post-operative settings.
  • Experience with esthetic laser treatment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of operating room (OR) protocols and procedures.
  • Experience in toddler care or primary care is advantageous.
  • Understanding of sonography practices may be beneficial.
  • Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
  • Background in ophthalmology can enhance patient care capabilities.
