Accounting Associate - Accounts Receivable Clerk - AR / AP Clerk

Somerville, NJ | $25-30/hr | Monday–Friday, 8AM – 5PM

United Staffing Solutions is representing a well-established manufacturing company in Somerville, NJ in their search for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate. This is a direct hire/permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in an environment where accuracy, consistency, critical thinking, and organization are valued every day.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accounting Associate:

• Managing bookkeeping functions to ensure accurate financial records
• Processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Reconciling customer accounts between two systems
• Handling payments and invoicing
• Bringing bank reconciliations up to date after a backlog and maintaining consistent monthly reconciliations moving forward
• Handling collections with professionalism and tact
• Performing accurate and timely data entry
• Preparing invoices and maintaining billing records
• Working with POS systems to support daily operations

• At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and invoicing
• Experience with Quickbooks and Excel
• Comfort with data entry and financial systems (including POS)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to think critically
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Self-starter, take-charge, can-do attitude
• Not afraid to ask question if unsure
• Must be comfortable with working in Somerville and eventually in Piscataway after renovations are complete.
