Location: Downtown Manhattan, in the vibrant Financial District | Full-Time | On-Site
Compensation & Benefits: $140,000 annual salary (based on experience), plus 401(k), health, dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, and paid holidays.
United Staffing Solutions is representing a fast-growing New York City law firm in their search for a highly organized and analytical Operations & Compliance Director. This is a direct hire, permanent position beginning immediately for an experienced leader who can oversee performance metrics, enforce compliance, and drive operational excellence across all departments.
About the Role
The Operations & Compliance Director will play a central role in managing staff performance, tracking KPIs, and ensuring accountability firm-wide. You’ll collaborate closely with department heads and senior leadership to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and maintain compliance using SmartAdvocate (training provided).
Key Responsibilities for the Operations & Compliance Director:
• Leading staff in meeting and maintaining KPI and compliance standards
• Monitoring firm-wide performance and generating reports through SmartAdvocate
• Identifying workflow gaps and recommending operational improvements
• Collaborating with department heads to drive efficiency and consistency
• Ensuring accountability, accuracy, and timely execution across teams
• Implementing data-driven solutions to support long-term firm growth
Job Requirements
• 7+ years of operations and compliance management experience (law firm or professional services preferred)
• Proven success in KPI tracking, staff supervision, and performance reporting
• Experience with SmartAdvocate is a plus; training will be provided
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Strong ability to implement structure and maintain accountability in fast-paced environments
