Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Audio Visual Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio and visual equipment for various events and productions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production and editing, with proficiency in industry-standard software. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality audio-visual experiences.

This would be on a gig/event based schedule, working various locations in NYC for weddings, parties, and various other events.

Pay: $24-27/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate audio-visual equipment for live events, including sound systems, projectors, and lighting.
• Hang and set up speakers and wireless mics
• Operate DJ 2000 console
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless integration of audio and visual elements during events.
• Conduct signal processing to optimize sound quality and visual clarity.
• Assist in the filming of events, ensuring high-quality videography that meets project specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment before and during events to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain inventory of audio-visual equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary.

• Proven experience in audio-visual production or a related field.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or Avid.
• Strong understanding of signal processing techniques and their application in live settings.
• Experience working DJ plus audio console (DJ2000)
• Familiarity with videography techniques and film production principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during live events.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
