Pay: $47.30/hr

Responsibilities of the Or Tech:

• Set up and prepare the operating room with the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies before surgeries

• Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments to maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.

• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs during surgical procedures.

• Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.

• Ensure that all surgical equipment is in proper working order, and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Manage and maintain the inventory of surgical supplies, ensuring that there are adequate levels of sterile instruments and supplies for each procedure

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

• Assist in the transfer of patients to the recovery room, helping with post-operative care as needed.

• HS Diploma/GED
• At least 1 year of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
