OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – SCHOOL

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, private, special education school who is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist.

Salary - $70,000-$85,000 Depending on experience

Days/Hours: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the exception of Tuesdays and Wednesdays when there are after-school meetings at 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities for the Occupational Therapist:

• Evaluate students needs for occupational therapy
• Provide therapy to students
• Compile daily session notes
• Execute progress reports and IEPs
• Work with families and school staff

• Must have a NYS Occupational Therapist Certification
• Must have prior experience working with children with special needs
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Must have prior experience working in a special education setting
• Highly skilled in the IEP process
• Ability to form and maintain relationships with parents, teachers and faculty
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to provide 3 professional references
