School Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Staten Island school-based team. You’ll work with students to support their ability to participate in everyday school activities, promote independence, and help them succeed academically and socially.

Location: Staten Island, NY
Pay Rate: $60–$65/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and district guidelines.
• Assess students’ fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation skills.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment and classroom modifications.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input.

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license in New York State.
• NBCOT certification.
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
