Nurse Educator - Full Time/Per Diem - New York City
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking Nurse Educators for ALL FIVE BOROUGHS of New York City. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of nursing staff across various settings, including nursing homes, teaching hospitals, and acute care facilities.

Pay: $50/hr with weekly pay

**Full Time or Per Diem is available**

Duties of the Nurse Educator:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of nursing staff in various environments, including home care and ICU settings.
  • Conduct educational sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge base of nursing personnel on topics such as physiology, medical documentation, and patient care best practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of educational initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to new nurses as they transition into their roles within the healthcare system.
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and integrate new knowledge into training materials.
  • Facilitate hands-on training opportunities that reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical application in acute care settings.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a nursing role within a teaching hospital or similar environment is a must.
  • Active NYS RN License is required
  • Strong background in training development and educational methodologies specific to nursing practices.
  • Familiarity with patient care protocols, medical documentation standards, and physiology is essential.
  • Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as nursing homes or home care services is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to educate effectively at all levels of nursing staff.
