Job Description
United Staffing Solutions is representing a professional moving company specializing in local residential and commercial moves. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that every move is handled with care, precision, and efficiency. We are seeking motivated, reliable, and physically capable Moving Associates to join our team on an on call/project based assignment.
Position Summary: As a Moving Associate, you will be an essential part of our team, assisting with loading, unloading, and transporting furniture, equipment, and household items for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all items are moved safely, efficiently, and without damage.
Pay: $19/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri, weekends as needed. Hours varies per job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring the protection of items during transit.
- Pack and wrap furniture and household items securely using moving pads, shrink wrap, and other protective materials.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Navigate items through tight spaces such as hallways, stairs, and elevators without damage.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent personal and property damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized moving truck and work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism with clients.
- Operate hand trucks, dollies, and other moving equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and documentation as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience in residential or commercial moving (1+ year preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry 75+ lbs. regularly.
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to and from dispatch locations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and extended hours when required.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and hard-working.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with furniture disassembly/reassembly.
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
