Pay: $2,373.75/week gross pay

Duties of the Medical Surgical Nurse:

• Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform suture procedures and assist with outpatient surgeries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Participate in memory care initiatives for patients requiring specialized attention.
• Support patients in ambulatory surgery centers by ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Engage in hospital medicine practices, providing comprehensive care across various departments.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred; familiarity with outpatient settings is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of patient care protocols, health coaching strategies, and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Previous experience with CT procedures or similar diagnostic technologies is advantageous but not required.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in nursing care.
