Kansas City, MO 64161
$30/hour | Day Shift
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations and support plant performance. This role partners closely with the Plant Manager and is responsible for driving equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, and promoting a strong safety culture.
This is a working supervisor position requiring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support all plant maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Reduce downtime through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance budgeting
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and EHS programs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Provide off-hour support as needed
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic
- 3–5 years of ammonia maintenance experience
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of PLC systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Engineering degree
- Experience with CMMS and preventive maintenance systems
- Background in refrigeration, electrical circuitry, and machine mechanics
- Continuous Improvement training
- GMP and HACCP knowledge
