United Staffing Solutions is representing an assistant living housing company in the Bronx and upper Manhattan areas who are looking for Line Cooks to join their team. Line Cooks will be responsible for helping prepare meals, cleaning dishes and other kitchen items, maintain clean working environment in the kitchen, as well help cook, prepare, and serve food to residents.

This is a temporary position with various shifts/assignments available

Schedule: Various schedules depending on shift

Pay: $20/hr

Responsibilities of the Line Cook:

• Assisting our cooks in preparing meals based on strict recipies and dietary restrictions
• Washing dishes, pans, and other kitchen items as needed
• Ensure kitchen in clean and up to bakery standards
• Measuring, mixing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care.
• Operating and maintaining bakery equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Help with making sandwiches and preparing bakery items
• Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth production and timely delivery of orders.
• Adhering to high-quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

• 2 years experience working in a kitchen as a cook
• Previous experience in a culinary environment, with knowledge of basic coooking techniques required
• Valid Food Handlers License
• Experience working in an assisted living/retirement community preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring every meal is exact from the required recipe
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster a harmonious work environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
