LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Manhattan & Brooklyn

United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for facilities in MANHATTAN and BROOKLYN. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.

Pay: $42/hr

Schedule: 8 am-5 pm, flexible candidates needed

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Assist with procedures such as gastric lavage, catheterization, and dialysis under appropriate supervision.
• Provide wound care and assist in the management of patient hygiene needs.
• Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy for laboratory tests as required.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge care.

• Proficient in inpatient nursing practices with a strong understanding of physiology.
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
• Active NYS LPN License
• Ability to perform specialized nursing tasks including ventilating patients, catheterizing, dialyzing, and conducting gastric lavage procedures.
• Strong venipuncture skills for effective blood draw procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on safety and comfort.
