We are seeking Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) for 13-week assignments in a correctional healthcare setting in East Elmhurst, NY. Both day and evening shifts are available, with full-time and part-time scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health counseling and therapeutic support to patients
• Conduct mental health assessments and identify treatment needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention as needed
• Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for continued care
• Collaborate with behavioral health and medical teams
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and professional standards

• Active New York State LMHC license
• Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse and complex patient populations
• Comfortable working within a correctional healthcare environment

Pay: $66/hour, paid weekly
