Leasing and Compliance Assistant
Job Description
United Staffing Solutions is representing a large Adult Senior Assisted Living Facility in Upper Manhattan, NY who is looking for a Leasing and Compliance Assistant to join their team.
The Leasing and Compliance Assistant would be responsible for assisting the property manager and other supervisors on site with various tasks ranging from speaking with prospective residents, verifying and securing documents, assist with various meetings, and communicate with tenants.
This position requires someone to be fluent in English and Spanish.
This is a temporary position with the opportunity to become a permanent role.
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to housing inquiries received by phone and email in a timely fashion and track application requests
- Create mail merges and track responses
- Communicate housing outcomes to applicants via phone, email or mail
- Scan documents and maintain updates of files as necessary and/or requested
- Assist with inputting information into RealPage’s OneSite, WSFSSH’s property management database
- Occasional minute taking at meetings
- Work with HR to obtain temporary staff where applicable
- Review weekly payroll
- Assure resident rights are consistently upheld
- Communicate status and needs of building and program and program to WSFSSH central office staff
OTHER
- Work as a member of the team to establish and maintain high level of care and respect for and communication with residents.
- Work cooperatively with other staff members
- Share information about resident progress, needs, and problems with other staff
- Attend training sessions and conferences as required for enhancement of job skills
- Implement emergency procedures as necessary
- Submit all required reports in a complete and timely manner
- Assist with other duties as directed
Job Requirements
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in and office management or administrative capacity
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Strong computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with persons who have experienced homelessness, mental illness or who are elderly
- Able to work in a multi-cultural environment, with staff and residents
