United Staffing Solutions is seeking dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurses for a University Medical Center in Omaha, NE. As a key member of the maternity care unit, you will play a crucial role in assisting expectant mothers during childbirth and providing postnatal care.

Weekly Pay: $2,139

Shift: 11.5 x 3 Days

Contract Start Date: September 16

Duties of the Labor and Delivery Nurse
- Monitor the health of both mother and baby throughout labor
- Assist with the birthing process and provide emotional support to the mother
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
- Educate new mothers on infant care and breastfeeding
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

- Prior experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding
- Proficiency in IV infusion and gastric lavage procedures
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital or outpatient setting is advantageous
