Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
United Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a Manhattan-based hospital. This nurse will play a vital role in supporting mothers through childbirth, ensuring safe deliveries, and providing postpartum care.
Location: Manhattan, NY
Specialty: Labor & Delivery
Pay Rate: $3,000/week
Employment Type: Contract / Travel Assignment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and progress of labor.
- Administer medications, including epidurals and induction agents, under physician guidance.
- Assist with cesarean sections and emergency deliveries.
- Educate and support mothers and families throughout the childbirth process.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Job Requirements
- Active NY RN license in good standing.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and patient support skills.
