Job Description
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for the 5 boroughs of New York (report to the base of operations in Maspeth). The LPN will provide essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring the highest standards of care in various settings, including senior care facilities, outpatient clinics, and inpatient units.
Pay: $42/hr
Schedule: 10 am - 8 pm
Full-Time
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse LPN:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in patient assessments and contribute to discharge planning.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Job Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in NYS
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- BLS
- Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital – Critical Care, Family Practice or other relevant areas experience preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy is essential for effective patient assessment.
- Active and current driver's license for 2 years or more Required
- Clinical work experience with pediatrics required
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Ability to lift 50-60 pounds
- Fluent in Spanish is preferred
- Familiarity with outpatient services is a plus; experience in inpatient settings is highly valued.
- Experience with pediatric or neonatal ventilator care is advantageous.
- Strong skills in patient care, communication, and teamwork are required.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic coding knowledge is beneficial for accurate documentation.
