United Staffing Solutions is representing an assistant living housing company in the Upper Manhattan areas who are looking for Kitchen Aides to join their team. Kitchen Aides will be responsible for helping prepare meals, cleaning dishes and other kitchen items, maintain clean working environment in the kitchen, as well help prepare and serve food to residents

Kitchen Aides must have a valid Food Handlers Certification, utility/cooking shirt, and non-slip shoes.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

Pay: $20/hr

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Aide:

• Assisting our cooks in preparing meals based on strict recipies and dietary restrictions
• Washing dishes, pans, and other kitchen items as needed
• Ensure kitchen in clean and up to bakery standards
• Measuring, mixing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care.
• Operating and maintaining bakery equipment, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times.
• Help with making sandwiches and preparing bakery items
• Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth production and timely delivery of orders.
• Adhering to high-quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

• 1 year experience working in a kitchen as a dishwasher/prep cook
• Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment, with knowledge of basic baking techniques preferred
• Valid Food Handlers License
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring every creation is made with precision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to foster a harmonious work environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
