Registered Nurse (RN) – Step Down Unit I Contract | Travel Nursing

Location: Utica, NY 13502
Pay: $2,398 per week

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a Step Down Unit setting in Utica, NY. The RN will manage patients requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical judgment, delivering safe and compassionate care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and comprehensive nursing care for step-down patients.
• Administer medications and manage complex drips, including Neo (up to 100), Precedex, and Insulin at the IMCU level of care.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to the medical team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Accurately document all care provided in Epic EMR.
• Maintain compliance with all facility and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Active New York RN license (unrestricted).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Step Down or IMCU experience.
• Drip experience required: Neo (up to 100), Precedex, and Insulin.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
• Epic experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
