Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – High School Program | Roosevelt Island, NY
Full-Time | $75,000–$80,000 Depending on Experience | September Start
United Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role supporting high school students at a well-established special education high school program in Roosevelt Island, NY. This position begins in September and offers a consistent weekday schedule, incredible time-off perks, and an easy commute from Queens or Manhattan.
Location Highlight: Roosevelt Island is conveniently located along the F train line, just minutes from Midtown Manhattan (by tram or train) or Long Island City (by train or bus)—making it an ideal location for Speech Language Pathologists commuting from either Queens or Manhattan.
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:
- Evaluating high school students to identify speech and language needs
- Providing direct speech therapy services in individual and small group settings
- Documenting daily therapy sessions and student progress
- Creating progress reports and writing IEPs in compliance with NYSED requirements
- Collaborating with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary staff
- Participating in team meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- NYS SLP licensure and TSSLD/TSSH certification through NYSED
- Minimum 2 years of experience (special education or high school setting preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of the IEP process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide 3 professional references if hired

- Location: Roosevelt Island, NY (F train access – easy commute from Queens or Manhattan)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Tuesdays until 3:30 p.m. and Wednesdays until 4:00 p.m. for meetings)
- Salary: $75,000–$80,000 (depending on experience)
- Start Date: September 4th, 2025
