Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Brooklyn
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $55 per hour with weekly pay
About the Role
A healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to individuals with intellectual disabilities at Bronx and Manhattan locations. The ideal candidate will have ICF experience and be comfortable traveling between both sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing physical assessments and develop/update individualized nursing care plans quarterly or semi-annually
- Monitor medication administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and administer injections as needed
- Complete monthly reports and maintain medical records in accordance with program requirements
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews)
- Track and review medical data, including sleep charts, vital signs, seizure logs, and other health records
- Communicate with physicians, follow up on medical recommendations, and ensure timely medical appointments
- Train and supervise AMAP staff, including initial certification and annual recertifications
- Be available for on-call medical emergencies
Job Requirements
- Current RN license and registration in New York State
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (Required)
- ICF experience required
- Ability to travel between the Bronx and Manhattan locations
