ER RN – Travel Contract – Bronx, NY

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Bronx, NY. The ER RN must be confident in triage, rapid assessment, and managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage, patient assessments, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Provide emergency nursing care for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and medical emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and emergency protocols
• Initiate IV access, draw labs, and manage cardiac monitoring/telemetry
• Respond to codes, rapid response situations, and critical patient deterioration
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Communicate effectively with physicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate to ED care and discharge planning

• Active RN license (NY license required)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• PALS required (preferred; required if facility mandates)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Strong triage skills and experience with high-acuity patients
• Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, and provide immunization documentation
