HEAD TEACHER – SPECIAL EDUCATION
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, special education, K-12, private school who is seeking an experienced Head Teacher. They support children in achieving their fullest potential and help them develop a passion for learning and understanding.

This is a 12-month program.
Salary - $70,000-$75,000 Depending on experience

Days/Hours: M-F, 8a.m. to 3:30p.m/Wednesdays till 4pm.
Responsibilities for the Head Teacher:

• Create academic plans and goals based on assessment data
• Monitor and analyze each student’s progress related to communication, academics, behavior and social skills
• Involvement in the IEP process
• Ability to work with the SLP, OT and the TA in the classroom

• Minimum of a MA in Education
• Special Education Degree a plus not a must
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience teaching students with learning disabilities
• Highly skilled in the IEP process
• Ability to work with parents, teachers and faculty
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to provide 3 employment references
