We are looking for a dependable and skilled Handyman to support the maintenance and upkeep of an adult assisted living facility in Bronx, NY. This position works closely with the Superintendent to ensure all properties remain safe, clean, and in good working condition. Ideal for someone who is hands-on, efficient, and takes initiative.

Pay: $22-23/hr depending on experience

Schedule: Tues-Sat 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair work (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
• Respond to tenant work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with apartment turnovers, including patching, painting, and minor upgrades
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and building exteriors
• Handle trash and recycling duties as needed
• Assist with snow removal and sidewalk maintenance during winter months
• Conduct routine inspections and report any issues to the Superintendent
• Help coordinate and assist outside vendors when required
• Ensure tools and supplies are organized and properly maintained

• Previous handyman or maintenance experience required
• Proficient in Yardi software (or similar software)
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
• Ability to work independently and follow direction when needed
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing manual labor
• Availability for occasional evening or emergency work

Preferred:

• Experience working in residential buildings
• Familiarity with NYC building standards and safety practices
