Garment Sorter
Job Description
United Staffing Solutions is looking for Sorter/Checkers for one of their high profile clients in Brooklyn, NY. This position would be working in a distribution center and production plant for a uniform company. The Sorter/Checker should be someone who is diligent and has a high attention to detail.
Full Time: Mon-Fri 7am-2:30pm
Pay: $17/hr
Responsibilities:
- Sort garments and pack/prepare them for return delivery
- Read labels to determine where they should be delivered
- Press, fold, and hang garments to properly store and/or ship
- May need to perform slight sewing repairs as needed
- Adhere to proper safety and production procedures
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
- Prior experience working in production/assembly preferred
- Must be detail oriented and able to read/interpret ID labels
- Sewing experience/knowledge preferred
This is a temporary to permanent position which included full benefits: Medical, Pension, Vacation/Sick Days once converted permanent after about 3 months.
