Front Desk Manager – Specialty Medical Practice
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Front Desk Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy specialty medical practice. This individual will oversee a team of four front desk professionals, ensuring exceptional patient service, efficient workflow, and seamless administrative operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a patient-centered mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in medical office management.
Pay: $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of four front desk staff members
- Oversee patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate provider calendars
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed
- Collect co-pays and ensure accurate financial transactions
- Maintain front office policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Address patient concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize practice operations
Job Requirements
- Previous medical office management or front desk leadership experience required
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and staff training experience
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient scheduling
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills
- Experience in neurology, pain management, or multi-provider outpatient practices strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
- Profit-Sharing Plan: Eligibility after two years of employment
