Certified Teacher Assistant – Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
United Staffing Solutions (USS), a leader in education staffing, is representing an internationally recognized behavior-analytic preschool and early intervention program seeking multiple Certified Teacher Assistants (5–8 openings). These positions are full-time, temp-to-perm, and ideal for candidates who want to grow in a supportive, data-driven academic environment serving children ages 18 months to 5 years with and without disabilities.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:15pm
- Pay Rate: $17.50–$18/hr depending on experience
- Location: Piermont, NY
- Certification: NYS Certified Teaching Assistant REQUIRED
- Start: Immediate openings
Responsibilities of the Certified Teacher Assistant:
- Training students in individualized programs
- Collecting data on individual student programs
- Graphing student performance data
- Escorting students to and from the bus
- Maintaining classroom cleanliness
- Summarizing student data for team review
- Conducting group activities
- Applying behavior-analytic strategies to reinforce appropriate behaviors and address inappropriate behaviors
- Participating in the staff training program and classroom meetings
- Assisting in the ongoing assessment of student progress
- Supporting the implementation of behavior-decrease programs
- Assisting with classroom preparation
- Performing other duties as assigned by leadership
Job Requirements
- NYS Certified Teaching Assistant (required)
- Experience working with young children, preferably special needs experience
- Strong communication, teamwork, and data-collection skills
- Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn behavior-analytic principles
