Job Description
TEACHER ASSISTANT – SPECIAL EDUCATION
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry has the pleasure of assisting a successful, special education, K-12, private school who is seeking an experienced Teacher Assistant. They support children in achieving their fullest potential and help them develop a passion for learning and understanding.
This is a 12-month program.
Salary - $38,000-$40,000 depending on experience
Excellent benefits package – Health, Dental, Vision, 401k
Days/Hours: M-F, 8a.m. to 3:30p.m./Wednesdays till 4pm.
Responsibilities for the Teacher Assistant:
- Monitor students entering and leaving
- Responsible for the student attendance report
- Implement daily instruction, activities, and behavior strategies
- Support students in their school activities
- Assist and support the Head Teacher, SLP, and OT in the classroom
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working with special needs children in a special education setting
- Must be a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide 3 professional work related reference
