Direct Support Professional (All Boroughs)

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

About the Role

United Staffing Solutions is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others while working with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Support community integration by accompanying individuals to appointments, recreational activities, and community events.
• Encourage independence and skill development through individualized support plans.
• Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and incidents in accordance with agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and other team members.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, or similar role preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background checks and required clearances.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (training may be provided).
