Job Description
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the healthcare staffing industry, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for residents, particularly those requiring memory care, hospice care, or senior care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to resident rights and possess the skills necessary to deliver exceptional direct support.
Pay: $16.50/hr with weekly pay
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor and record vital signs as required, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Support residents with mobility and transportation needs within the facility or during outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and report any concerns regarding resident health or behavior to appropriate staff members.
- Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, respect, and confidentiality in all interactions.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for those rights effectively.
- Familiarity with memory care practices and techniques is a plus.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet individual dietary requirements.
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and reporting procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and family members.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
